75 Things to Do In Orange County

So the worst part of hanging out with friends is finding something to do if you want to stray away from the usual movie night! There is so much to do where I live but when I have to brainstorm I feel like I can never come up with ideas! So I figured I would make a list of all the expensive, free, exciting, and/or interesting things I could do in my area and share them with you on my blog! Here it goes!

1. Disneyland & California Adventure  - super pricey but worth it, especially it you have a pass!
2. Go to an Angels Game

3. Go to a Ducks Hockey Game at the Honda Center
4.Have a Bonfire at Any of the Beaches with Fire Pits
5. Knott's Berry Farm
6. Hike Saddleback Mountain
7. Go to the Balboa Fun Zone
8. Go to the Pageant of the Masters or Sawdust Art Festival
9. Visit the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach
10. Go Paddle Boarding in Dana Point Harbor (or any place they offer it!)
11. Go Kayaking in a Lake, Harbor, or Open Ocean
12. Go Surfing
13. Just go to the Beach!
14. Ride the Orange Balloon at the Great Park (it's free too!)
15. Go Mini Golfing at Boomers!
16. Visit the Wyland Art Museum in Laguna
17. Eat at Ruby's on the End of the Newport/Balboa Pier
18. Enjoy Shopping & Dining at Downtown Disney (parking is free for the first 3 hours!)
19. Visit the Ocean Institute! It's open to the public on weekends
20. Go Explore Some Tide Pools! Just make sure you go when it's low tide!
21. Visit the Discovery Science Center
22. Go Snorkeling
23. Go Whale Watching in Dana Point or Newport Harbor
24. Go to the Orange County Fair
25. Visit the OC Zoo
26. Rent Paddle Boats or Go Horseback Riding at Irvine Regional Park
27. La Habra Children's Museum

28. Explore Black Star Canyon (it's apparently haunted at night!)
29. Go Fishing at Irvine or Mission Viejo Lake
30. Drive the Canyon Road just for Funsies
31. K1 Speedway (yay for Go Karts!)

32. Ice Skating at the Ice Palace year round or winter time at the Spectrum
33. Roller Skating at SC SK8 in San Clemente
34. Dollar Movie Theater in Irvine
35. Hit up an Arcade like the ones at Dave & Busters or Boomers
36. Go to a Concert (Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, Chain Reaction, House of Blues, etc)
37. Rent Jet Skis in Newport or Dana Point Harbor
38. Go on a Bike Ride Along the Board Walk in Laguna or Newport
39. We've got Prime Shopping, so Hit Up Any of the Malls! (Fashion Island, Block at Orange, South Coast Plaza, Mission Viejo Mall, etc)
40. Visit the Santa Ana Zoo
41. Mission San Juan Capistrano

42. Hit up the Rainbow Factory and Outlet in San Clemente (great prices there too!

43. Go on a Harbor Cruise of Newport
44. Take a Ride on the Balboa Island Ferry and/or Take a Walk Around the Harbor
45. Go to a Surfing Contest, Such as the U.S. Open in Huntington Beach!

46. Go to the Swap Meet!
47. Go on a Photo Scavenger Hunt at any Public Place
48. Bower's Museum in Santa Ana
49. Medieval Times

50. Knott's Soak City (our only water park since Wild Rivers is gone...)
51. Marconi Automotive Museum

52. Richard Nixon Presidential Library in Yorba Linda
53. Ripley's Believe It or Not! in Buena Park
54. Walk Around the Bolsa Chica Wetlands / Ecological Reserve

55. Hike to Top of the World in Laguna Beach
56. Go Camping
57. Visit the Petting Zoo by the San Juan Train Station

58. Go see a Play or Musical at the Laguna Beach Playhouse or OC Performing Arts Center(I think it has a different name now though)
59. Go to a City's "Movie in the Park" (such as at the Great Park!)
60. Visit Heritage Hill in Lake Forest
61. Have a Picnic
62. Visit the Kellogg House & Heritage Museum (make sure it's open to the public when you go!)

63. Go to the International Surfing Museum in Huntington Beach!

64. Flight Deck Air Combat Center in Anaheim

65. Go to the Pirates Dinner Adventure in Buena Park
66. Go Explore ANY of the Beach Cities (San Clemente, Newport, Dana Point, Laguna, Huntington)
67. Visit the Historical Casa Romantica in San Clemente (it's on the way down to the pier)
68.  Go to a Roller Derby (There are a couple of rinks in the area that host roller derbies!)
69. Ride the Ferris Wheel at the Irvine Spectrum
70. Visit a Unique Treat Shop like Sno on the Go or Farrel's (both in Mission Viejo)
71. Visit Tanaka Farms! (you can even pick your own strawberries & the owners are my neighbors!)
yepp these are my neighbors on their farm!
72. Visit Stanley Ranch in Anaheim (Walt Disney had a garage on the property that you can go into)

74. Lyon Air Museum (it looks over the runway of John Wayne Airport)

75. Go on a Gondola Ride through Sunset & Huntington Beach (company is called Sunset Gondola)
