Summer 2013

As another summer comes and goes, I have begin to think about the “quality” of my summer. What did I do? Who did I spend it with? Was my time well spent? I checked 17 things off my bucket list and went on many other adventures not included on the bucket list! I made new friends, strengthened relationships with old friends, and made good memories! I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to spend my summer here in Provo, UT! I thought my first summer not in California would be hard because I wouldn’t have the beach, but Utah has made up for that with so much more! I have fallen in love with Utah this summer!

Oh right, I have a blog!

So it's the last day of the first month of the year and I remembered I had a blog! And I kinda felt like I should blog about this awesome month because it truly has been great!

Winter Semester 2013 - NO REGRETS!

Yepp that's basically been my motto because all I want to do this year is make lots of friends, have lots of fun, oh and get good grades! Although its only the 4th week of school and midterms are unfortunately starting, I can already tell this is going to be my best semsester here at BYU! I have done so much this semester already! I've hit up lots of Men's Basketball and Men's Volleyball games! I think I've used my All Sports pass more this past month than I did all winter semester 2012! The first weekend back I went to Mount Pleasant, Utah to say goodbye to this guy and hear his farewell talk:

I got my first letter from Hunter last week and he is doing great in the MTC. All my best friends are missionaries (or soon will be - go sister missionaries!) and I love it!
I have gotten 4 letters in the last week from missionary friends and it has seriously been the best! I love it!

This month I also bought a used snowboard for an awesome deal and I got it all waxed and edges sharpened on MLK day and I am soo stoked to try it out this weekend. Also on MLK day I went with some friends to go hike the hot springs, but when we got up the canyon, more of the road was closed than expected so instead of hiking to the springs we decided to go sledding on a random hill in the canyon! It was such a blast! We also all took the challenge of riding down the hill one time in our swimsuits!

Hair all up in my face... I do not look attractive, but what evs haha It was freaking ridiculous since I'm pretty sure it was in the 20's but it was definitely something I will never forget haha

I also hit up a post basketball game dance and partied it up with some old  and new BYU friends :)

I hadn't been to a dance in months and it was so much fun! I went crazy and had a blast!

This is my first real winter, and the snow is pretty and all, but I DEFINITELY hate driving in it and I am ready for it to leave haha.

Lastly, I would just like to say that I have THE COOLEST ward ever. For a ward activity 2 weeks ago we went sledding! And this past week we went laser tagging!

I mean I ammmm on the activity committe so I help plan these awesome activites, but still! I seriously love my ward so much! I could not be in a better place!

This month has been great and this was just some of the highlights of the month! I look forward to all the opportunities, challenges, and fun times I will have the rest of this semester! Peace out :)

Mistakes and Choices

Pinned Image
Wow, this is deep! I never thought of this but is definitely true. We learn from our mistakes and if we make that mistake again, it was our choice. Life is full of choices, we just have to make the right ones. Where we end up all depends on our choices.
